Internet Security
The Center develops many different models of powerful security solutions, like our Firewall Sentinel™ strong firewall family of Internet security solutions. GCIS also sells, configures, installs and supports many other versions of corporate firewalls from different vendors and manufacturers. There are basically three types of firewalls in existence today:
The bastion host firewall is usually simple to implement but is very noticeable and can be quite cumbersome to some of it's users, depending on the exact system. The packet filter on the other hand is a bit different. Instead of trying to force all data traffic between the Internet and the internal network of that company, the packet filter tries to screen out harmful traffic. Proxy gateways offer the most protection in a variety of complex systems today. Additionally, and especially for network administrators that are in charge of the whole network, you might want to note that proxy gateways are also great at logging Internet activity among different users.
However, they come with a much higher price tag and need lots of complex and special programming and code to make them fully operational. The good news is that the two major browsers today (Microsoft IE and Netscape) already support proxying, so at least there are no modifications to be done at that level. Additionally and in conjunction with the use of our firewall solutions, we specify and advocate the use of our strong encryption solutions. We use the strongest encryption 1,024 bit keys currently available. One of our safest and strongest security product is the GCIS Secure Two™ solution, developed using RSA 1,024 bit security technology.

Network connections are designed to isolate users from each other. Addressing schemes and firewalls are in place to allow only certain (filtered) types of traffic to flow between designated addresses. All our router and powerful firewall configurations are password protected and "locked-down."
