It's an impossible dream to believe you can buy a low-cost program and have your
optimization all taken care of. Have you seen ads for software programs that claim
they'll "submit your site to hundreds of engines"? Backed with ample proof, we know that
the majority of these programs are completely worthless and could in fact get you
labeled as a "spammer". A spammer is an individual or a company that uses techniques that are

Experience has also shown us that other inexpensive programs on the marketplace create "junk" doorway pages that could also get you labeled as a spammer. Google has a very strict policy about "junk" doorway pages. Any Web site found to be using "junk" doorway pages gets banned on the spot with no chances of being re-indexed in the Google engine. Remember that Google is the largest, fastest and most popular search engine today on the Internet. More Web surfers use Google than any other search engine. For the same reasons, it is also the most respected of all engines. Another unacceptable practice is the use of cloaking techniques, wich will also get you banned automatically.
The fact of the matter is, if SEO (optimization and positioning) were so straightforward that an inexpensive program could handle them, then the real, professional SEO experts would be out of a job faster than you can say "out of a job". Plus the professional message boards and discussion groups that GCIS actively participates in wouldn't be buzzing with constant questions about new nuances, new technology or new things that we all need to know to efficiently do our job properly.

Like it or not, SEO professionals are here to stay. Time has proven it. Results have
proven it time and time again. Here is a case in point. What you are about to read is
an actual case study in real life. On january 12th, 2002, we finished building and
optimizing a completely new Web site (it was a french-language Web site) that used the
highly generic URL: www.immeubles.cc
Our customer had mandated us to build that web site for only ONE basic and simple reason: he wanted to sell an important piece of exclusive, real-estate property directly situated on Lac Gagnon in the Outaouais region, in Quebec (north-east of Ottawa, Ontario).
Instead of listing the property with a real-estate broker / agent, wich he would have had to pay a $ 10,000 minimum sales commision, he instead ordered us to build a much less expensive Web site at www.immeubles.cc (immeubles in french means Real Estate). He bought his new Internet domain name from www.highimpactnames.com (a fully-owned subsidiary of GCIS) and had us register it in his name. The Web domain name to his new site was www.immeubles.cc wich we all felt was the best name for its intended purpose.
After that, he had us host his new site with his new domain on all of our Web servers. Additionally, he made certain we properly and carefully optimized and SEO'd all 22 pages of his site. The results were that, after less than seven weeks the site went live, he received four written offers to purchase, wich he accepted one, the highest. Needless to say, our client was delighted in our professional services. Out of the four offers, all were from visitors to his french-language web site that

Visitors that came to Google all wanted some relevant information on houses situated around Lac Gagnon in the Outaouais region, north-east of Ottawa. This, is what we call relevant information. This is SEO at its best: find the information you're looking for, rapidly, precisely and without any hassles.
Today, if you visit www.immeubles.cc you will read on the site's homepage that the property has indeed sold itself. Now, he has so far received more than five offers for its domain name www.immeubles.cc (Note: Internet domain names can be bought and sold, just like any other commodity). He doesn't need the domain name anymore so now he wants to sell it. For the international real estate market in the french language, the Web domain name www.immeubles.cc is as generic as you can get.
