1- A news box is now available on all pages of our Web site. 2- The bottom part (red area) of the news box deals exclusively with Case Studies. Our Case Studies section will enable you to better understand how we solve specific and complex IT problems in the Internet world, by custom designing powerful & flexible solutions for our growing list of international corporate customers. Click HERE to reach this important section and to read some important case studies we have successfully completed since 1996. September 28, 1999 marks an important milestone in our ongoing quest for technological excellence. This solution is also fully scalable on any Web server platform. This represents one of our proprietary solutions and we have standardized it with what currently exists in IT today. This is a major breakthrough for our modern R & D department. Additionally, it will enable GCIS to be even more competitive in the international e-commerce segment and provide better solutions to today's complex business needs. All transactions will be done using a secure server protocol similar to SSL and SET.

GCIS is real proud to say that we have been accepted and accredited as a Public Eye approved merchant. "Public Eye" is the consumer protection association for the protection of on-line Internet buyers and consumers, both individual and corporate. Based in the USA, it oversees all Web merchant business practices and insures fairness and honesty in the way Internet merchants treat their customers. It takes anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to become a Public Eye member. They conduct a full investigation on our past and present business dealings with all levels of sales and solutions. Having a Public Eye "stamp of approval" helps us increase our business and gives all our clients, industry partners and suppliers a better sense or feel of security when dealing or partnering with us.
Additionally, at the end of all our three Web Store pages is a Public Eye report card that our customers and visitors can fill out and auto-send to Public Eye's Web site. The process is fully automated. We recommend all our on-line buyers to fill out that report card. A copy is also sent to us for daily review. We answer each and every inquiry and/or question individually on a first come, first serve basis. Public Eye has also integrated a comittee review board in case of discrepancy or dispute between a customer and an Internet merchant. We are really happy with the fine people at Public Eye and we fully support their initiatives.

We just made life simpler again for all our Web site visitors. On top of being able to access all our 3 Web stores from the bottom menu on all our pages, we have created 3 additional TOP Java menus ! Now you can access your favorite on-line stores directly from any of our top three menus. Just click on the one you prefer. Start with "Web Stores, Part 1" if you are not sure. All 3 web selections represent top value for your money. Plus, they ALL feature fully secure 128 bit encrypted servers for your security. Notice how the color of the menus change from blue to red when you approach them with your mouse cursor (you need Internet Explorer 5.0... Netscape does not support Java at this time). You can also access and read our ever so popular industry news section by clicking on Industry News at the right of the store area.
All in all, there are over 100 on-line stores to choose from at this time. From baby cribbs to books and CD's, from home improvement to new and used cars, from women's apparel to executive attaché cases... They are all there for you to choose. Plus you always get the best deal possible. It's a well known fact that most on-line Web storefronts are less expensive than their brick and mortar counterparts. Less overhead means greater savings for you the consumer ! It costs less to have a store on-line than a traditional physical business address in a shopping mall or business district.

Official invitation and acceptation to attend the EFTA (Electronic Funds Transfer Association) bi-annual summit to be held October 5th at the famous Watergate Hotel in Washington DC. EFTA is a very strong association that lobbies on the part of it's own industry and concerns. Being and staying very close the the US Congress and the White House is a big plus. We at GCIS are extremely proud to be part of the EFTA group. This represents for us strong new business opportunities. The people at EFTA have been very helpful to us and we are looking forward in working more and more with them as a team. Additionally, since GCIS is directly involved in the field of e-commerce, electronic funds transfer is a buzz word we use a lot. Some members of EFTA are: Visa, MasterCard International, American Express, EDS, IBM, Diebold, Chubb, most major US banks and financial institutions, most major banks around the world (Canada, Europe, Japan)...etc. EFTA is a very high profile trade association in the US. Many powerful US senators like Rep. Phil Gramm in Texas have tried to table new laws governing financial institutions that were eventually defeated thanks to strong lobbying pressures on the part of EFTA.

Meeting in Boston, MA with a group of researchers to start a feasability study on a new programming process to help the open development concept of the Linux operating system. The Linux OS was developed by university graduate Linus Torwalds in Sweden. What is interesting about Linux is that it is open source, wich means it's source code can be modified freely, within set conditions. GCIS wants to contribute in this fine OS. As can be expected, Microsoft is a bit worried Linux might take some market away from the Redmund company. GCIS strongly beleives in Linux as being a good and dependable operating system for today's Internet applications.

Completion and final approval of our new version of GCIS Net Solution Level Six™. This new version, version 3.0 enables more features for the same cost. One added bonus is the Internet carrier route back protocol we have added. It is a special communications carrier protocol that GCIS has developed and is holding the patent rights. This new feature reports back to our server if there is an error in any of the transmissions. It is an extremely reliable system. GCIS has completed the extensive testing of this new protocol on april 21, 1999. Before this was developed, we sometimes had to rely upon a human at the other end to tell us if all went ok.
