How long has the Internet or the Web been in existence anyway ?
A long time... more than most people think...
The Internet as we know it today has actually been around since about 1969-70. In the early days, only universities, governments and some selected, top ranking military companies had access to the Internet. Back then, the Internet was called "Arpanet". It was a blend of military and university research projects. Later, in the early seventies, more companies started to realize that there might be some money to be made on the Internet. This is basically how it all started.
